Meet Lizmarie Zambrana, a jewelry artist born and raised in Puerto Rico and is now based in Taneytown, MD. She started designing beaded jewelry in 2012, and then started making silver jewelry in 2019 with a total of 10 years in the business. Her creations can be seen on Instagram @healingmoonco 💚

"Always had a passion for jewelry, I was always intrigued about how the beautiful jewelry my mom used to collect was made," Lizmarie shared. She fell in love with the process of jewelry making, elaborating how it's amazing how you can bend, burn, and cut a piece of metal and create something beautiful and unique that lasts forever.

At first, Lizmarie tried to learn by herself, but she said the process was so overwhelming in the beginning. When she walked into a studio for the first time, she said it felt so right, all that fear went away. She was so eager to learn and when she made her first ring, she fell deep in love and thought about the infinity of things she could create. ✨

Firsts are almost always memorable and Lizmarie still remembers the very first piece she has ever sold. She shared,"It was at a farmer's market in Charlottesville, VA. It was a pendant with no stones, I used the granulated technique and didn't even know it was called like that, it was the first piece I sold that day, it was so exciting! The feeling that somebody likes your work at the point they would pay for it, was unbelievable." How special 🫶🏼

With her beautiful brand name, Lizmarie said that there's actually a meaning behind it. She explained how her mom always tells her how Lizmarie would go out at night to watch the moon since she was little - she has always believed in the energy of the moon and in what it transmits to us; following those healing memories and her love for the Moon is where the name Healing Moon came to life. 🌕

"Keep a journal and sketch every idea that comes to your mind, I find it very helpful when creating a new piece."
