WHAT IS ROSARITA STONE?

Rosarita is a by-product of gold smelting. Smelting gold is the process of extracting gold from an ore it is combined with. Essentially, when an ore that is gold-bearing gets heated to high temperatures, gold sinks down to the bottom and the non-metals solidify into boulders of red and orange. Red being Rosarita.

ROSARITA STONE CHARACTERISTICS

Rosarita has an amazing, eco-friendly alternative to coral because of its plentiful positive attributes and distinctive color. Rosarita shows an intense, rich red, along with occasional striking gold streaks - perfect for using it for  any artisan silver or gold design. Rosarita will occasionally resemble glass with its high-shine glossy finish, beautifully reflecting the light.

Aren’t gold leavings poisoned by toxic chemicals? What is the chemical make-up of rosaries?

Why put a backing on Rosarita? It is beautiful to allow light to come through it. Artificial backing obscures the beautiful color and darkens it.
