This is jewelry artist Jenni Tissell, the amazing creative behind @wetheredsouljewelry on Instagram. Based in Pierce, Idaho, Jenni has been into jewelry making for 20 years now. "I love the look of a Rustic western vibe... with Moose cabs!"

Jenni grew up on a farm, loving rusty metal trucks which inspired her to start creating with metal. From there, it also inspired her to create jewelry.

Artists, no matter how experienced they are with their respective craft, are ever evolving and constantly learning. For Jenni, when she was just starting out, learning fine torch work was a challenge for me. She shared that to this day, it still can be, on occasion.

Curious as to what was the story behind her Instagram username/brand name, we asked Jenni. She shared, "My name was inspired by Psalm 62:1... reminded me of a long awaiting Weathered Soul."

Here are some of Jenni's beautiful creations!

Jenni can still remember her first AHA moment. She recalled how excited she was when she designed her first buffalo roam cuff. She has made several now. "I have used almost exclusively Moose turquoise cabs for the moon settings on them due to the incredible matrix in the stones. I love them!"

Jenni usually likes sketching out more intricate design concepts. Sometimes, she said they just develop in her mind and she runs to the work bench to start creating!

When we asked her to describe her design style, she said,"I feel like my work usually has a strong western vibe due to me being a cowgirl at heart!"

What's one design tip you one to share with your fellow artists?

"I remember how excited I was when I learned to hammer my solder wire flat when connecting pieces so the solder didn’t roll across the metal. That is probably a tip most metal artisans know, but for me it helped so much."

Any words of encouragement or tips to those who are starting out in the world of jewelry-making?

"I love encouraging artists of all never can learn too much! Develop your own unique style that reflects who you are!"
