Moose Spotlight: Crafting Timeless Treasures with Turquoise and Stamps

"Sometimes I see something in nature or a pattern-anything can inspire me to make a piece of jewelry."

MEET THE ARTIST

Step into the captivating world of Breean Falcon (@midnightfalconjewelry), a talented jewelry artist hailing from North Carolina. Inspired by a forged silver bracelet in 6th grade, Breean's fascination with jewelry-making ignited a lifelong dream to create her own stunning pieces.

Breean Falcon of @midnightfalconjewelry

Breean's journey into jewelry-making began a couple of years ago, but it wasn't until five years ago that she truly dedicated herself to the craft. Self-taught with moments of frustration, her determination and persistence prevailed, and she became utterly hooked on the art of jewelry-making.

"I had someone ask to buy a spinner ring I had made," Breean shares, reminiscing about her first jewelry sale. "I was eating dinner at a restaurant, and a woman approached me and asked where I had gotten my ring. She offered to buy it, and I was stoked to sell it!"

The birth of her brand name, Midnight Falcon, has a charming backstory. Being a night owl and finding creative solace in the midnight hours, combined with her last name, Falcon, led to the perfect choice for her business identity.

While her journey has had its share of critical moments, Breean recognizes that practice and experience have brought her closer to satisfaction with her creations. "It took a long time to be pleased with something I made," she admits. "I’m a tough critic & always seem to see my flaws. I’m working on that. I’m definitely more pleased with designs the more practice I get."

Let's take a look at some of her beautiful creations!

THE DESIGN PROCESS

When it comes to her design process, inspiration strikes from various sources—nature, patterns, anything that sparks her imagination. Breean translates her ideas into drawings and follows her intuition throughout the creation process, allowing room for delightful surprises even when plans evolve.

Her unique design style thrives on using stamps and showcases her love for turquoise, a favored stone that often graces her creations. With a penchant for crafting one-of-a-kind pieces, Breean's work defies confinement to a specific style, embracing the beauty of artistic exploration and individuality.
