Meet jewelry artist Marisa Caligari, based in California, her beautiful creations can be seen on Instagram @marisac_creations 💚
Growing up in Italy, Marisa chose the art pathway in school. She worked for a jeweler in the summers and Marisa was inspired to appreciate the creativity and craftsmanship involved in making fine jewelry. Life took a turn and she had to make commitments that ultimately moved her to the US. She recently rekindled her passion for creating jewelry after taking a local jewelry class. 🥰
When Marisa was just getting started, it wasn't always smooth sailing. She shared, "My largest hurdle to overcome was myself. Putting myself out there, having the confidence to create and risk failure." She added that her jewelry teacher truly inspired her to move forward; she has not looked back ever since. ✨
Marisa still remembers the very first piece she sold. She said it was to a woman in Italy from her hometown. How special and serendipitous is that?
When asked if there was any significant meaning behind her brand name, Marisa explained that it was important to her that her name/brand reflected her hard work - her creations, her success, and her failure.

THE DESIGN PROCESS
For Marisa, when she's creating, she said she follows what the stone gives her - the emotion and creativity that she feels at that time. She doesn't have a pre-planned outline, she follows her guidance from the moment. 🫶🏼
When asked to describe her own jewelry style, Marisa said she focuses on minimalist designs to accentuate the stone.
